Donmar Warehouse

Donmar Warehouse is a 251-seat, not-for-profit Off-West End theatre in Covent Garden, London, staging work at its venue since 1977. Over nearly five decades it has won more than 100 theatrical awards while keeping its stage deliberately small - an intimate scale that shapes the way productions are made and the craft opportunities they offer. Its stated purpose is to stage important stories and to nurture the next generation of creative-sector talent.

Alongside its productions, the theatre runs two programmes with direct relevance to creative professionals. Donmar LOCAL is its community and youth engagement initiative, through which it reaches young people and builds new audiences; it has reached over 17,000 young people since 2022. CATALYST is a professional development programme supporting artists from under-represented backgrounds, with the aim of creating more equitable access to the industry.

Working practices reflect a registered charity ethos - the organisation holds charity number 284262 and limited company number 01611861 - and a stated commitment to equitable access to the creative industries, with active support for artists who are global majority, trans, non-binary, D/deaf or disabled, neurodivergent, or from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
