Insomniac Games is a video game development studio that builds console franchises, working on 3D action-adventure titles and long-running intellectual property. Founded in 1994 and now part of PlayStation Studios, the studio has been making games for more than 25 years and has sold more than 70 million copies. Its catalogue ranges from early franchise Spyro the Dragon and the long-running Ratchet & Clank series to Resistance. Current work includes Marvel's Spider-Man, based on the Marvel character, with Marvel's Wolverine in development.
The studio operates from two locations: Burbank, California and Durham, North Carolina. Team members work across game development, 3D action-adventure game design, console gaming and franchise and IP development, spanning the video games, entertainment and console gaming sectors.
