CD PROJEKT RED

CD PROJEKT RED is an independent video game studio founded in 2002 that develops role-playing games built around memorable, immersive stories. Its portfolio includes The Witcher series, a set of nonlinear, story-driven RPGs with over 75 million copies sold and more than 250 Game of the Year awards; Cyberpunk 2077, a first-person role-playing game that has surpassed 30 million copies sold; and a card game. Work spans open-world RPG development, first-person RPG development, story-driven game design and card game development.

The studio employs over 1,200 professionals across five studios worldwide, in Warsaw, Kraków and Wrocław, as well as Boston in the United States and Vancouver in Canada.

CD PROJEKT RED describes itself as independent, with no corporate owners, which it credits with the freedom to experiment and to reject annualised development cycles. Its stated core values are ambition, perseverance, honesty at all times, kindness and respect for everyone, and a focus on gamers. The studio builds games its own developers would want to play, favouring complex, nonlinear experiences with deep storylines and genuine emotion, and deliberately takes on problems the team does not yet know how to solve.
