LightWk

LightWk is a Christian mission organisation built around discipleship-evangelism, going for missions, promoting missions and training for missions. It works with what it describes as alternative, contextual and biblical patterns for Christian missions, and divides its activity across 12 ministries and programmes. The organisation's motto is "Go. Promote. Train.", and its stated core values are Love, Excellence, Community and Accountability.

The programmes span youth, education and community work. Ablaze is a youth missions ministry; Ignite runs quizzes and debates for young people; Bootcamp offers a theology programme for pre-teens and teens; and Illuminate covers young adult formation. Light Chapel holds weekly Bible study sessions, Light Center runs recovery and personal development work, and Glow handles community and social welfare. Light Up conducts outreach in troubled areas.

Missions and education form the third strand. Bible Drive distributes Bibles to remote areas, FulaMissions focuses on reaching the Fulani ethnic group, and Radiate runs collaborative missions work. Lux College provides free education, with free tuition for the children of missionaries. The organisation's work therefore touches remote areas, Fulani communities and underserved or troubled areas.

Relevant to creative professionals, this produces a steady stream of communication and design needs across distinct programme identities - Ablaze, Ignite, Bootcamp, Illuminate, Glow, Light Up, Lux College and the rest - spanning advocacy, education and outreach material.
