The company works across film, television, broadcasting and streaming, rendering content in more than 100 languages. Each year it processes over 35 million subtitled minutes and 10 million dubbed minutes.

Founded in Seoul in 2002, Iyuno relocated its headquarters to Singapore in 2006 and now operates 48 offices across 33 countries. It expanded through acquisitions, including BTI Studios in 2019 and SDI Media in 2021. Its founding premise was that the world's stories must reach audiences across language barriers.

Technology is central to the operation. Technical domains include AI-powered localization, subtitling automation, cloud-based workflow platforms and broadcast workflow integration. Its MediaTrans platform, which delivered automated subtitle files directly into broadcaster workflows, captured 90% of the Korean market during the cable TV era; its successor, iMEDIATRANS, moved subtitling project management to the cloud and made it accessible from any web browser. The company describes its approach as one of relentless innovation in AI-powered localization, with a track record of adapting to shifts from DVD to cable to cloud.
