Grand Canyon University

Grand Canyon University is a private, nonprofit Christian university headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Founded in 1949 in Prescott with an initial student body of 100, it has grown to serve tens of thousands of students through both its Phoenix campus and nationwide online programmes. The university offers more than 200 academic programmes across nursing, education, business, engineering and healthcare, with Christian values integrated throughout the curriculum.

Institutional activity is substantial. In 2024 the university awarded over $358 million in scholarships, part of a stated focus on keeping education accessible and affordable. Its two delivery arms - the on-campus programme catalogue of more than 200 courses of study and a large online operation serving students across the country - span a wide range of disciplines and audiences, providing varied subject matter for content, design and communications work.
